The story of Makena Tide Pools

A friend of ours lives just on the other side of the Kiawe trees in this painting. While staying in his house over a two-week period, we got to know Makena. I've since painted Ahihi Cove many times and always seem to find more to paint there. This is one of my earliest paintings of Ahihi.
