The story of Pu'u O'lai

The puu (cinder cone) standing guard over Makena beach has often appeared in my paintings. I am continually drawn to the area's rich subject matter. If I were required to select one square mile from which to create a life time of work, the center of it would be Pu'u Ola'i.
