At times I think it might be hazardous to paint a subject too often. That thought is annually cast out in favor of yielding to the inspiration the Jacaranda tree brings me.
Every year the Jacaranda season is more spectacular, as more trees appear and young ones mature. They show up in surprising places. They splash color in such a variety of combinations with other hues and textures in the Upcountry landscape that they will probably never stop appearing in my work.
